OK - so I thought I could not post again cause I lost my user name and password, but just figured it out again! I am not sure I am qualified to do this, but I am gonna give it my best shot.
So I am all excited 'cause I bought my first "home" - a condo close to NYC (to work). In an attempt to fix it up, my brother's friend came about 2 weeks ago to retile the bathroom floor and change the toilet and vanity. (those are the old ones in the pic) Well, he took out the toilet but didn't have time to put the new on in before having to leave to Dubai for work. My brother came and installed it for me yesterday. TODAY I got a call from the management office saying that the person downstairs has water leaking in from my bathroom. I am 1.5 hours away at mom's for the week as school is out. I am a worrier so I was stressed out that I am getting on the naughty list before I even live in the place. In the end I sent a friend who has a key and he cleaned up the water, let the handy man in and pretty much set my mind at ease. However, I learned that I am not allowed to do anything there without telling the management office and including a sketch. Renting is way easier, but I guess I will get used to ownership.
