Well, for the few of you who are checking in on me - I wanted to post my new bed. I am no longer on the floor. My good friend Diego came by and assembled my bed. His friend Oscar put together the TV stand and end table which I have not posted. The carpet runner and magazine rack were two things I bought in Trinidad at a store called Mode Alive. It is located on Frederick Street and I hear there is another branch in Curepe near the Kaydonna movie theatre.
I love the carpet! It looks great!

I relly like your bed and the magazine rack and I see what you meant about having to have the heavier items in the lower 'basket'- it's very cool though and will look great in your place.
